Kate Conklin
Kate Conklin serves as the Chief Compliance Officer of The Specialty Alliance, where she leads the organization’s compliance strategy and programs to ensure that all operational procedures, clinical practices, and team conduct align with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Under her leadership, the compliance team develops and implements policies that promote a strong culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical decision-making across The Specialty Alliance’s national network. Kate’s team also oversees workforce training and education focused on risk areas, emerging regulations, and best practices in healthcare compliance.
Previously, Kate served as Chief Compliance Officer for GI Alliance, where she was instrumental in building a comprehensive compliance framework for the nation’s largest independent gastroenterology network. She brought to GI Alliance more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience spanning hospitals, health systems, and academic medical centers.
Before joining GI Alliance, Kate served as Chief Compliance Officer for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and as Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer for Steward Healthcare (South Division). Earlier in her career, she was Senior Vice President of Ethics/Compliance and Professional Affairs at Medical City Denton (HCA Hospital) and also served as President of the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS).
Kate earned her Bachelor of Administration (Healthcare Emphasis) from American Intercontinental University and a Master’s degree from Denver University, focusing on Healthcare Leadership in Ethics and Managing Legal Issues. She holds multiple professional certifications, including:
